Forum Rules:

PURPOSE & USE: This Forum is for respectful discussions between members of The World Metal Alliance, an organization whose purpose is to unite the metal subculture for the common good. Therefore off-topic flames, persistent arguments, trolls, hatemongers, personal wars and "soap operas" will not be tolerated. Mutual respect is required.

CLARIFICATION: The User Agreement, which every member must agree to by checking the "I agree" box upon registration, generally addresses what constitutes a violation. However, some commonly repeated violations have made it necessary to further specify certain violations (listed below) in an effort to help prevent future abuse.

VIOLATIONS: The following is NOT allowed: 1. Posts that violate the User Agreement. 2. Posts that attempt to defame the World Metal Alliance, divide the membership or promote non-affiliated competitor sites. 3. Personal wars, off-topic flames, insults or derogatory comments directed at a fellow WMA member or any demographic group including but not limited to age, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or political party.*

*EXCEPTIONS: A. While it is common knowledge that members often rib one another in the spirit of good-natured fun, please use caution. Insults directed at a fellow WMA member that are made in jest are only permitted if it is clear that the targeted WMA member is the willing recipient of the joke and not insulted by it. If the targeted WMA member does not find the remark humorous and is offended, the author of the remark will be in violation. B. Although it is not encouraged, insults are permitted if they are directed at a specific individual non-WMA member.

MODERATION: Topics or posts which are duplicates, posted on the wrong board, or that violate the User Agreement or Forum Rules, may be relocated, edited, split, merged, locked or deleted at the discretion of the Administrator or assigned Moderators.

ENFORCEMENT: Members in violation of the User Agreement or Forum Rules will be subject to temporary suspension, restricted access or permanent ban without notice, at the sole discretion of the Administrator. The WMA Senate retains the right to reduce or reverse any of these actions by majority vote as described below.

APPEALS: If you wish to appeal any action of moderation or enforcement as described above, submit it directly to the Administrator or any WMA Senator via PM or E-mail within 48 hours of the action taken. Your appeal will be promptly forwarded to the WMA Senate for consideration. The Administrator or a WMA Senator may then post a 7 day Senate poll, in which a majority vote is needed to reduce or reverse the action in question. DO NOT post an appeal of any action of moderation or enforcement on the Support Board, or any other board within the Forum, as this often re-ignites the fire the action was intended to contain.

Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners of this forum, any related websites to this forum, its staff, and its subsidiaries. The owners of this forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any other related information collected on this service) in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this forum.

AGREEMENT: All members agreed to the User Agreement upon registration. Posting on this Forum constitutes your agreement with the above terms and conditions of use intended to further clarify this agreement. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions or no longer agree the User Agreement you must not use or immediately terminate your use of this Forum.
