It started snowing on Friday around 1pm. Kept above freezing for the most part so it was a mix of rain and snow until the sun started going down, then it REALLY kicked in. I kept up with it and went out every couple hours to shovel my parking pad, but after I went to bed around 11:30 all hell broke loose. I got my lazy ass up around 10:30 on Saturday and couldn't open my front door. Luckily I have a covered deck out back so i was able to squeeze out and grab the shovel, but i had to take the glass out of my front door in order to shovel the snow away from it:

I have a long walkway to the sidewalk so I got started and took some more shots as I progressed:

Here is some footage I took on Saturday too:

Today I got started on Jen's car. She had to park on the street so there was the extra trouble of having to move all the snow that the plows had pushed around it. Unfortunately my battery was dead so I don't have any shots of that, but it was a good 2 hour job. I then got a call from a neighbor across the way who said everyone was getting together some cash for a guy who had a snowblower and was going to clear out our alley. I jumped at the chance and went out and started helping.

My back deck. It's covered but the wind blew in a significant amount of snow:

My car. Can't see but it's got the World Metal Alliance license plate frame:

Fella that helped with the snowblower:

I'm gonna sleep good tonight.

I couldn't sleep over at my friends house cause of this thing. I spent the entire weekend with an adorable girl instead.

Great pics & video man, thanks for posting them. Really captures the brutality of the storm. I shot some video of the storm back in December, didn't get any this time. I think the kids took a few pics though, I'll have to see what's on the camera when I get home.

Well we ain't done YET!

Been broadcasting on the news that we should expect more tomorrow afternoon. Winter Storm Warning in effect thru till Wednesday afternoon, possible 12"-18" in my area, with most meteorologists leaning towards the high end of that and maybe more. The term "Blizzard conditions" has crossed the lips of a few different ones from the area  Laughing

Nice loaf bud. I've been going out at least every two hours since nine o'clock this morning and shoveling. I was at the gym monday and tuesday, and now I'm completely tired out and sore.

here we are in georgia, waiting for a "huge" snowstorm to blow in. schools are out for the day. the weathermen are having fits. the TV has a constant crawl telling us how doomed we are. if we don't get a foot of snow or more, i'm going to feel really let down.

and of course the furnace is broken again. can't forget that bit of fun.

doc, you're a friggin' champ, man. i hope your lady had a lot of hot chocolate for you. and by "hot chocolate", i mean "sweet sweet lovin'"
